This is Fanny Alger, the first plural wife of Joseph Smith, or his mistress, depending on which historian you are following. I put flowers around her, to symbolize she was alive and real, and part of our history . This was the beginning of our journey into polygamy. This was painted on a 16x20 canvas in acrylic.
