Stockton

This is a painting of a 16 year old boy that passed away this week, we lost him and 4 other LDS LGBT children. My heart breaks.   You can tell this boy had a beautiful spirit, I've seen several pictures of him, his smile is contagious.  I hope his family enjoys this painting, I put my heart in it. Thank you Kimberly Anderson for this commission, you are always looking out for everyone, you are the ultimate example of a Mama Dragon. Thank you also to all the others who so willingly pitched in to pay me, I appreciate it very much and was so touched by your trust in me  with this very special project.

Madam Pattirini touch up

I felt rushed to finish Madam Pattirini for Pride week. I spent 3 hours on her last night and am very happy with her now!

Brigham Morris Young - Madam Pattirini

Morris is the son of Brigham Young and Margaret Pierce. He served a mission to Hawaii and started the Young Men's program for the LDS church.  Shortly after returning from his second mission with his wife Armeda Snow, a daughter of Lorenzo Snow, and his son Lorenzo Snow Young, Morris began publicly performing as a cross-dressing opera singer under the pseudonym Madam Pattirini. Apparently she had an amazing falsetto. Madame Pattirini preformed in wards and stakes throughout Utah.  I find it interesting that the church welcomed her in their buildings and  enjoyed her performances.  This is an acrylic painting on a 36x20 wood canvas, made by my very talented husband.
