Olive was a Mormon pioneer who was captured by the Yavapai Indians. I was first introduced to her on the TV series "Hell on Wheels", one of my favorite series that tells the story of the building of the railroad, complete with Mormons, polygamy and Brigham Young. I am reading a book about her called "The Blue Tattoo " by Margot Mifflin. This is an acrylic painting on a 24"x 24" wood canvas my husband made, between my son Tracey and my husband I can say goodbye to canvas frames forever. Sunday, January 3, 2016
